We started TopMarks HomeSwap in 2006 to help satisfy your wanderlust for travelling in Australia as comfortably, economically and frequently as possible.

Our goal is to assist you every step of the way in making your Homeswapping experience as enjoyable as possible. We welcome feedback, suggestions and new ideas.

We are only advertising in the State Teachers Union newspapers and Journals to keep our costs down. We are also sending posters to our vast network of colleagues for them to put on noticeboards at school. If you want to put one up at your school, go to the “Posters” tab in the navigation menu and download or print them.

My teacher husband and I decided to start this business so that we could:

• see Australia while staying at home (we want to go everywhere);
• help fellow teachers with their holiday costs in the same way.

We decided to limit membership to teachers because:

• teaching is the only occupation that actually has to go on holidays in peak period and therefore must pay peak accommodation rates for every holiday;
• we saw a niche market that is not being catered to;
• with the common occupation, there are often other elements of lifestyle in common, which makes Homeswapping a more comfortable experience.

If you click on the “Holiday Calendar” tab in the navigation menu, you will see that so many of the state's holidays overlap. So the opportunity to swap with another teaching family or group is enormous.

We are currently the only HomeSwapping company to offer to coordinate One way Swaps and Multi way swaps. These are explained in “FAQ”.

We hope you will embrace this style of holiday as much as we do. Homeswapping will open up many opportunities to you for travel in Australia. In the near future this will extend to New Zealand too.
